Record Crowd Attends Franklin Event: The prestigious Franklin Event, held for the first time in its 55-year history under the auspices of Printing Industries Alliance (PIA) at Pier Sixty, New York City on September 18, 2007, drew a record-breaking crowd of 550 attendees and 49 corporate sponsors. PIA to Hold Franklin Event on September 10th in New York City The Franklin Event has been held for over 50 years in New York City and the tradition continues for 2008. Held for the first time last year under the PIA banner, this year’s gala is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10 (5:30-9:30 pm, note extended closing time) at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers. While we are not at liberty yet to disclose the recipient of the Franklin Award for Distinguished Service, the following industry leaders will be recognized in the following categories:
